1. Description of Service

Released is a hosted platform that allows software teams and creators to write, manage, and publish product changelogs and release notes. We provide tools including a text editor, AI-assisted drafting, custom domain hosting, and embeddable widgets.

2. User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and credentials. We are not liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
• You may not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

3. Your Content and Intellectual Property

• You own your data: You retain all rights and ownership to the text, images, and other content ("User Content") you submit or publish via Released.
• License to host: By publishing User Content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your content strictly for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
• Our IP: The Released platform, including its code, design, UI/UX, and branding, is owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary assets without permission.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use Released to:

• Publish spam, phishing links, or malware.
• Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or violates the intellectual property rights of others.
• Attempt to bypass or manipulate our billing system, rate limits, or API restrictions.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, without prior notice or refund.

5. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Features

Released utilizes third-party artificial intelligence APIs to provide features like "Smart Draft." By using these features, you acknowledge that:

• Your inputs (such as selected Pull Request descriptions) will be processed by these third-party providers.
• We use enterprise-grade APIs where your data is not used to train the providers' public models.
• AI-generated content is provided "as is." You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of any AI-generated changelogs before publishing them to your users.

6. Payments, Refunds, and Cancellation

• Billing: Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.
• Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing dashboard. Your Pro features will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle.
• Refunds: Unless required by law, we do not offer refunds for partial months of service or unused time.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive for maximum uptime and reliability (aiming for 99.9%), we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely secure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Released and its founders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your agreement to the new Terms.
