At Released ("we", "us", or "our"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website (released.fyi) and use our software-as-a-service platform (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information that is necessary to provide and improve our Service.

  • Account Information: When you sign up via email, Google, or GitHub, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture.
  • Billing Information: If you upgrade to a paid plan, your payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.
  • Service Data (Your Content): We store the changelogs, images, and text you create within Released. Please note that "Published" changelogs are inherently public.
  • Third-Party Integrations (GitHub): If you connect your GitHub account, we request read-only access to your repositories and pull requests to generate drafts. We do not request write access to your source code.
  • Usage Data: We collect minimal, anonymized product analytics (e.g., page views, button clicks) to help us understand how the Service is used and how we can improve it.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Process your transactions and send related information, including confirmations and invoices.
  • Send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages.
  • Generate AI-assisted changelog drafts based on your explicit inputs or connected integrations.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We only share data with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our Service:

  • Infrastructure: Supabase (Database & Authentication), Vercel (Hosting).
  • Payments: Stripe (Payment processing).
  • AI Features: OpenAI / Anthropic (To power the "Smart Draft" feature). Note: We only send the specific context you request us to process (e.g., a PR description). Our agreements with these AI providers explicitly prohibit them from using your data to train their foundational models.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies necessary to keep you logged in and secure your session. We do not use intrusive third-party advertising trackers.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data (projects, changelogs, images) at any time from your Account Settings. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed from our active databases.
